Special Thai Project- Visa Procedure

The candidates who have enrolled in to Special Thai Project will have to bear the entire Visa cost for acquiring Non-Immigrant B Visa. The Non-Immigrant B Visa is absolutely necessary for getting a work permit. For doing a TESOL course in Thailand the candidates can come with a free thirty days transit Visa initially. It is best if the teachers can collect the Non –Immigration B visa before starting for Thailand from the local Thai consulate or embassy. The South Africans need to visit Malaysia and others, Laos to bag a Non-Immigrant B Visa when they are in Thailand.

For STP candidates
who are unable to procure a Visa before reaching Thailand there is an alternative, which American TESOL Institute will provide. The teachers will have to go to Laos to get the Non-Immigrant B visa. For this the candidates have to pay about 5000 to 6000 baht which will include transportation, accommodation, Laos Visa and Thai Non Immigrant –B visa.

American TESOL Institute mostly sends the set of Visa papers to the Thai Embassy or consulate one month before the ESL teachers comes to Thailand. Therefore, before coming to Thailand if you plan to visit some other countries you will not be able to procure a Non Immigrant B Visa for the third country. If the candidates are traveling in Asia what they can do it get a sixty days tourist Visa to enter Thailand, and then get it transformed in Thailand, and if not possible appear for a Visa run.
