In the
Special China Project" of the American TESOL Institute, the salaries which
the ESL teachers are offered are two different kinds:
Teachers with Degree + TESOL - 5,000 – 7,000 CYN per month.
(Approx 750 USD onwards)
Teachers with High School diploma + TESOL - 4,000 onwards CYN per month.
(Approx 600 USD onwards)
One way
Flight reimbursement at the end of the 6 months contract
Person
Income Tax (PIT) is directly levied on the income of a person in China
The
schools will also provide single accommodation to the teachers. (Can be
apartment / shared house)
Accident
and hospitalization more than 24 hrs Insurance is generally covered by the
schools. Some Schools don't provide insurance and help Teachers to buy one
along with other Foreign ESL teachers and deduct the cost from Salary
Work Permit is always responsibility of Schools
You are expected to
teach 22-25 hrs of classes per week
You are expected to be at school for
40 hrs a week
Weekends are generally not holidays
Classes are generally during morning and evenings
There will be
2 days off in a week (not necessary a Saturday and Sunday)
